The Statutes of Liberty are four veterans of the Chicago rock scene that love hard rock but hate hard heads. Growing up on the music of the 70’s rock giants (Ted Nugent, ACDC, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, the MC5, the Stooges, etc.) the Statutes developed a taste for riff rock that lends itself perfectly to their other passion – saving America. The S.O.L. blend their passion for enlightenment with their primitive urge to melt faces with guitars in a full-frontal freedom assault that’s gonna help us all set our chickens free. It’s like the Capital Steps, but not faggy. It’s like if Woody Guthrie wasn’t quite as smart, loved to party, and played through a Big Muff pedal.
