Details:
Savage and intense Northern Irish rockers who can sure blast a tune or ten. The band traveled to Poland earlier this year to record their debut album ''Songs From The Last Revolution''. An image-filled, action packed album done and dusted in five days. Pressure cooker environment suits this raucous rock outfit and the results speak for themselves. This is all Chrome Horse.

Within the twisted sounds and apocalyptic rumblings you can really hear the heart of the band growling in its nocturnal basement hideaway. From album imagery and song titles you really get a sense these are not ordinary songs and this is not an ordinary band....

The album kicks off with ''Steam Tracktor Blues''...a runaway-train-of-a-song sharply outlining the dangers that lie behind the greed of the modern goldigger. The greed theme is continued in ''Thieves In Backrooms'' with the mirror now reflecting the listener. And so they questions begin....two songs in and a head of steam is building.

It''s about now that you''ll get hit with ''Ballad Of Ophelia'', a murder ballad about the brutal slaying of a young woman who travels to meet her lover by the banks of Deep River. It''s also about now you''ll begin to get a sense of where this band is coming from. Enter stage left ''Cousin Tom'', a biblical styled tale about twins who take different paths in life, following different beliefs and abiding by very different rules.

From the dry path you are now dragged back into the water. This time it''s the highwater we''re all afloat upon, gambling with our own future in ''Made In One Day''. The message is an obvious one, but one rarely heard in such surrounds. With haste you are thrown onto ''Death Row'' - a killer tune based on a true story. Not even the names have changed.

Within 1 second of escaping Death Row you find yourself in a hazy world, drifting through the haunting ''Reflections Of A Madman''. Nothing more needs to be said about this crusade.

Witnesses of the advent of 24-hour news will grasp the nettle that is ''Automaton''. Witnesses of inner-city life and the filthy rich dealers who drive families apart will comprehend ''Antifreeze'' - a song spawned from a hand-written sign on a wall begging a junkie son to come home. City grit gets in your eyes and the choking exhaust smoke blinds, yet you still see the junkie on his knees.

Across town the businessmen hatch their plots as morning breaks and the people travel round and round on the ''Wall Of Death''. Like the riverboat, we''re all locked together in one big race - some just getting outta their heads to escape the monotony.

And then ''Pigsty Groove''. Arriving as a soothing lament on the importance of making the most of life and in that very second a warning bell tolls alerting the listener that the race is by no means won. The journey continues down the road and awaits the next chapter...
