Details:
Fresh Fruit Award winning comedian Kelli Dunham:

Is frequently mistaken for a member of a boy band even though she is an adult female;
Is a skateboarding ex-nun who has never been able to successfully get drunk and lied about her age to get her first library card;
Has an undiagnosed medical condition that makes her crave nutritional yeast on bacon and diet soda with equal (and scary) zeal.

Really, how could she be anything BUT a stand up comic?

Kelli’s comedy is gently edgy, but she is not afraid to take her quizzical story-telling style into areas where even slam poetry dares not tread: a torn up birth certificate, the perils of responding to extreme sarcasm coming from a dying lover, trying to avoid being gay bashed while wearing a flowered shirt and Stetson cowboy hat in a Jacksonville Florida Denny’s…

Kelli’s first comedy CD, “I am NOT a 12 Year Old Boy” was recorded in 2005 and is still in regular rotation on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Raw Dog Station. Right now Kelli is touring in support of, “Almost Pretty” on an (almost) 50 states pilgrimage. She has covered 1/3 of the US states so far. In an effort to decrease the tour’s carbon footprint, Kelli will be covering the last 500 miles of the tour on bike, skateboard, pogo stick and her own two feet, ending with a splash in the ocean at Provincetown at the beginning of the queersummer season.

Kelli’s writing has been syndicated nationally, received several Vice Versa awards and is regularly featured in Curve Magazine. Her comedy has been seen at colleges, clubs, women’s festivals and pride celebrations nationwide as well both on the Showtime Network and the Discovery Channel.

Just in case you’re wondering, Kelli is also the author of four books, How to Survive and Maybe Even Love Nursing School (FA Davis, 2004), How to Survive and Maybe Even Love Your Life as a Nurse (FA Davis, 2005) The Boy''s Body Book: Everything You Need to Know for Growing Up YOU (Applesauce Press, 2007) and The Girl''s Body Book: Everything You Need to Know for Growing Up YOU (Applesauce Press, 2008). She is also a contributor to numerous anthologies including Love''s Funny That Way (Sterling Press, 2006), Squeaky Clean Comedy (Andrew McNeil Press, 2005), She’s So Funny (Andrew McNeil Press, 2004), Dangerous Families (Haworth Press, 2004), and Life’s a Stitch (Random House, 2002).

So buy the CD already. She''s funny.
