Ahleuchatistas are from Asheville, North Carolina. They are Shane Perlowin on guitar, Derek Poteat on bass, and Ryan Oslance on drums. The music is altered harmonic splatter, melodic angularity and impressionistic textures, a polyrhythmic firestorm of percussive assaults. Incredibly tight through-composed songs veer rapidly through unexpected twists and turns, memorable themes, and lush colorful pulses.
