"I''m probably the only singing CFO (Chief Financial Officer) around, " says Lam, who previously handled the business affairs for indie label, NSOUL Records.
Lam recently completed work on her 3rd album, "Revolutionary," which contains brand new material showcasing Lam''s signature vocals and songwriting. This collaboration with producer/arranger Derek Nakamoto (Hiroshima, Boyz II Men) and mixing engineer Craig Burbidge (Brian McKnight, Kirk Franklin) includes a lineup of top musicians such as Michael Bland (Prince, Chaka Khan), Denny Fongheiser (Heart, Seal) and Bruce Watson (Big Country, Christina Aguilera).
As a member of Nitro Praise, Lam recorded on three albums and toured nationally for three years with the group. The collective Nitro Praise series has sold more than 400,000 copies worldwide.
As a full-time solo artist touring the U.S., Lam has brought her musical energy to the stages of clubs such as the Knitting Factory to arenas like The Forum. In 2001, Lam released her first solo album, On the Way Up, produced by Jarrett Michaels, (Brandy, George Clinton) followed by a live album, Thankful to be Live. With her strong stage presence and down to earth sincerity, Lam is gaining a growing fan base. Her talents also stretch beyond music. She can be seen hosting a new TV show, "Top 3," set to air on cable network, jcTV.
