Dan Kosub was Born in Toronto on January 9th, 1984. He was raised in an artistically inclined family; Dan''s parents and grandparents had established careers as painters, sculptors, designers and musicians. His creative roots and social conscience were molded by spending his early years immersed in the culture of Toronto .
At age 7, Dan moved west to Victoria BC, picked up the guitar at age 9 and began writing and performing. As time passed, and Dan''s musical sensibilities grew, his passion for the performing arts grew all-consuming.
Throughout his adolescence Dan played original music in numerous rock bands, performed in jazz combos as a guitarist and vocalist, and acted on stage. He hosted open mics in Victoria, and became a well-established figure in the West Coast Music scene.
In 2006, Dan graduated from The Canadian College of Performing Arts, where he studied performance in multiple disciplines. He was a featured soloist with the Victoria Symphony at the Royal Theatre in "Blue Skies: The Music of Irving Berlin", and was awarded of the Bill and Margaret Bender Voice Scholarship.
In recent years, Dan has been a working musician and actor in Western and Central Canada. His highly anticipated debut album Reservoir was released in June of 2008, featuring "Blue & Grey," "Gone by 2040," "I''ll Never Know," and "The Crow."
