MP3 Charles Law and Jagged - Corrupted Sophistication

9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Funk Rock, ROCK: Americana

Details:
Sounds: Twisted Americana Acoustic Funk

Groove-a-licious string slappin'' acoustic guitar delivered with raw passionate vocals atop thick bass and funky percussion. Fronted by the intense vocals of modern songwriter/guitarist Charles Law, backed by the sexy Christine Perior on 4 & 5 string Bass, and the red hot drummer Bradley Buley.

"Beyond loving the sound here, the melody is good and the musicianship/production is exceptional. Very creative with definite adventurous vision." Taxi, May 2003

Nationally spinning on 125+ college radio stations during Spring 2003, their latest release "Corrupted Sophistication" reported Top 30 on 22 stations, hitting #1 in New Hampshire, #3 in Chicago, #4 in Texas and Cape Cod, #5 in Brooklyn, NY and #6 in Northern California.

Charles Law and his band Jagged puts freedom, dance and fun into any club or party. Their energetic stage performance delivers percussive textures, swampy licks and soulful lyrics over deep funk bass and danceable upbeats.

"Known for intense vocals and unmercifully assaulting his acoustic guitar ...", Matthew Singer, The Reporter

"Imagine the acoustic funk of Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews & John Mayer combined with the raw vocal energy of Johnny Cash. Now throw in some kick-ass bass riffs (female bass players rule!), slammin'' drum licks, and a "monster sexy" guitarist who switches between Jimi Hendrix-style electric guitar and a merciless assault of slapping the freakin'' sh*t out of his poor ol'' battered Martin acoustic -- tuned way down below buffalo hell -- and you''ll start to get the idea. Just listen and see what I mean!" Ken Eros, Zircon Skye, Jan 2003

Story:

She saw him slapping the crap out of his acoustic guitar at a speakeasy in the sky. He watched her play smokin'' hot bass licks with the upscale infamous. "I like your go-go boots," he said. "You''re tuned down" she said, "that''s slinky."

So songwriter Charles, (he sounds like Jimi Hendrix & Johnny Cash), hooked up with hardcore/funk bassist Christine (she played with Tantrum, Martha Davis of The Motels, Mario Calire of Wallflowers, & Cassandra Denver). The hot drummer Bradley Buley, in a psychic trance, wandered in (he''s played with Euphoria and Jonathan McEuen of Nitti Gritti Dirt Band fame). The jammin'' EP "That''s Why" was recorded with guest appearances by drummer Jim Christie (he tours with Dwight Yoakam and Lucinda Williams), and The Warm Guns'' Jeff Scott-Evans. Top that with a guest appearance on their latest release Corrupted Sophistication by Grammy-winning David Bianco, and there''s a party.

Check out their groovy, swampy funk.
