LB (which is an acronym for Lil'' Brad) grew up in Nashville, TN. In the sixth grade he had met Adriel Watkins, a neighborhood kid, whom he would later team up with to make music. By the age of fourteen he had discovered he could freestlye. Everyday after school, Adriel now know as D.R.E. and some more emcees would go down to LB''s house and they would make songs. At this point LB was just scratching on the turntables and playing the keyboard. He didn''t tell them he could rap, for the simple fact that he was nervous about trying to compete with the other guys; instead he kept his mouth shut.
Over the years his attitude changed and he decided he had to get on track with his music. He began by freestyling and rapping songs he had written, over all the popular instrumentals he could find in the stores. Everyday after school he would go to his room and record his raps into his tape recorder. Eventually he started letting his friends hear the songs and they were amazed. He had not let anyone know for several years that he had the talent, but was dying to let it out.
Eventually, every time there was a party, as soon as he arrived people would tell him to start flowing. It got to the point where it was starting to become a regular thing for him. "Every time I would go to a party, the first thing people said to me was "are you going to flow tonight?"; it was like I was the entertainment for the night or something."
LB eventually formed a group with longtime friend Big Boss, calling themselves Heatuz. They recorded a six song EP titled the Intro, and sold them locally out of the trunk. However, with certain situations that arose their plans for a follow up were put on hold, hence the solo debut from LB. This has lead to a new beginning for the Nashville rapper and a new chapter in life.
The debut album from LB is titled "True Story" and features Def Jam South recording artist Haystak,along with Nashville rappers Chad C, Kenny Wayne from S.S.K. and Big Boss. The debut single titled "Country Thang" features Haystak and is a sure fire hit. The album contains fourteen tracks that will have something for everybody to feel. With the songs featured on "True Story", LB will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, whether you''re from the burbs'' or the bricks. LB also has a production company (4 Pound Productions), which is beginning to generate some noise and he is scheduled to appear on a few mixtapes in the near future. Finally, after years of patience his career is beginning to take off and he''s not looking back.
