"On Our Way," the crossover debut album by led, is the culmination of a journey that''s been "awhile in the making!" In late ''95 Lutchi Gayot, Everton Smith, and Damien Reynolds met at Miami Southridge Senior High and instantly made strong connections with music and friendship. The guys have been through it all from indie deals, living together, tons of performances, to producing their own projects, and all the other trials and tribulations that come along with having a singing group that''s working to make their way through the Music Industry. Now armed with a great album led is poised to leave their mark on the "Music Game!"
"Our style is a fusion of Soul and Popular music from the 70''s to today", said Everton when asked to describe led''s sound. The group takes elements of R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Reggae and combines them in various ways from song to song. Also, the fact that Lutchi''s a self-taught professional engineer; and Everton and Damien are self-taught guitarist/ pianist aid in their unique music making. Damien refers to led''s style as "Alternative R&B. Its not the average generic R&B you hear on the radio or see in a video. It''s our own sound"! Another defining characteristic of led''s music is the songwriting. All of the group''s songs are written by the guys. "Being involved with all phases of the project really distinguishes our music from everyone else''s", said Lutchi when talking about how their experience affects their final product, "from songwriting and pre-production to recording and mixing, doing it ourselves has given our music its distinctive flare."
