I Jessica LeAnne Cunningham was born to Nellie and Jesse Cunningham on January 25, 1972 in the state of Nashville TN which is still today the heart of the music city.
I weighed only 5 pounds and 13 ounces at birth.
I was born blind. My blindness is due to my optic nerve not being developed correctly.
From the time I was a little girl even now I was never shy. I have one brother who is 3 years older then me.
When my parents wanted to start a family, they prayed together that God would bless them with a child who was gifted.
God answered my mom and dad''s prayer. At the age of 5, it was discovered that I was gifted.
I was given the ability to sing, play the piano and write my own music. my gift of singing was discovered at the age of 5, my gift of playing the piano was discovered at the age of 7 and my gift of writing music was discovered at the age of 12. My gift of singing was discovered at church in Sunday school class. My gift of playing the piano was discovered when we would go to visit people I would always ask do you have a piano? That''s when my mom and dad said we have to get her a piano. I discovered that i had the gift to write when I was in my room one day just playing around on the piano. I started putting notes together and the next thing i knew it sounded good. I grew up in Nashville TN with my mom, dad, and my brother.
It has always been said that I can write a song and touch everyone''s heart that I come in contact with.
it has also been said, that I can play a song and have a hole bunch of people where I am playing at crying.
When I play or sing, every heart gets touched by me.
It is no wonder people fell in love with my voice, and still today there are people who fall in love with my voice. There are people that love the way I play the piano as well.
Also there are people who say they love my style of music.
It has also been said that I sing like an angel.
I attended the Tennessee School for the blind.
I graduated in 1992 at the age of 20. I was raised in a Christian home.
I attended the Woodbine Free Will Baptist, church where I was a member until I left home in 1994. When I became old enough to sing and play the piano well enough, i participated in competitions which earned me a lot of awards I got awarded when I sang with other people and I got awarded for my piano ability.
Although it was said in school that my highest points were in my ability to sing more then playing the piano. I also participated in other things as well through out my school years. I was on the girls track team. we won a third place trophy. I was also in the school chorus. I was awarded for being in the school chorus the longest. I also sang in the school talent shows when they had them. And was awoarded for my music there as well. I have had only 5 months of voice lessons, and I have also taken piano lessons. I play the piano by ear.
Give me a song and I will play it almost the way it sounds.
I have a very good ear for music.
I learn very well when I learn a song.
I can also play a clarinet. But I don''t play it as well as I can play the piano or sing. Outside of my music, love chatting on the phone, computers, and so much more. As I grew my heart blossomed into a very sweet loving and gentle person.
Everyone loved being around me. It has been stated I bring peace to people .
They loved hearing my laughter as well.
I would have them laughing so hard they would be crying.
I loved to talk a lot. My mom always told me never give up on your music. always keep playing the piano and keep singing too. If it wasn''t for me finally following my dream, i don''t know what would have happened to me. i probably would have given up and lost all of my talent all together. But today i am happy to say, thanks to my loving husband, who has been by my side through everything my dream has finally come true. i am glad, i can now finally share my songs from my heart to the world. Hope everyone that listens to this Cd and buys it that many hearts will keep being touched over and over again. I just want to say Thanks first, to God, Thank you my heavenly father for giving me the gift, of singing, the gift of playing the piano, and the gift of writing my own music. You deserve all of the glorry my heavenly Father. I love you God. Thanks to my loving husband, Charles for making this special moment and this dream of mine that i have had for so long finally come true. Also, want to take time to say a special thanks to John, , who was my sound engineer, for helping me with six songs. He helped me with track number six I''ll treasure every heartbeat and also on this track, my best friend who i have known for a very long time Ann, played the flute on this track, , I''ll forever treasure your love, which is track number 7, May our hearts forever remain in unity, track number 8, meant for each other track number 9, Your love is like a star, track number 15, and the title cut, the flame now burns once more. Also, my thanks goes to terry Nord, for mixing track number 12, This is the way I feel. Also want to thank my best friend who I graduated with Chris for really giving me courage to keep singing. Thanks again Chris. My loving husband helped me write track number 3, it''s the one Forever promise me. He only helped me write the words. I love all of the people who have encouraged me to keep going.
