New Jersey singer and songwriter Ronii has released his new album Righteous Planet. Ronii''s vision is to bring a new perspective to the music.
He has performed at music festivals in New England, on jazz-funk records in Philadelphia, and most recently worked with a former member of the multi platinum group Blackstreet. All of these moments cohere together in his spiritually charged, eclectic, and uniquely crafted music.
In 2004, Ronii released Lifted on his own 130 West Music label. This album of 10 original songs, recorded as a debut to an already successful producer, gained more success than expected due to a very limited promotion effort. Relentless funk, swinging bpm''s and uplifting lyricism are just a few of the moods conjured in this work, which has been hailed by critics as "unique" and "ground breaking" for what it is and represents.
