Thank You!

First and foremost we thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for this opportunity to sing praises unto Him. We thank God for giving unto us, by way of this project, songs that minister to all who will hear. We also thank God for bringing us together in harmony to sing His praises.

We would like to thank Mrs. Novelette Seroyer for the concept of the title for this project, “Hymns to Him”, and for her encouragement. We also thank Mr. and Mrs. Calvin and DeeDee Williams for opening their home to us and giving us our first start.

Thanks to Mike D. for opening up his home in the ATL for our first recordings, to Birdnest Entertainment for their time and the vision of our success. We send a shout out to CJ Williams, who took the time to show us the ATL and also a shout out to Chris in the ATL. (We did it!) Thanks to VMG and all the production work done on this project. Many thanks to Get Right Records for help during the production phase and to Richard LaGrand and WZMG 910/1310 AM for being the first to put us on the airwaves. Also, many thanks to 1490 AM and 1340 AM in WestPoint, GA and Columbus, GA for airtime, and to Hallelujah 104.3 FM Montgomery, AL
Connye B , Yvette Dillard and Staff , Thanks for keeping it ALABAMA HOMEGROWN. We sincerely thank the numerous individuals in Opelika, Auburn, and Valley, AL, as well as other surrounding areas, for the support given to us during the course of this project. To our right-hand man, Curtis “DJ Curt” Milner, thanks for your dedication, hard work, and undying belief in us.

We would like to extend a very special thanks to Paul Cobb and the staff at Rex Trax Studios in Suwanee, GA for the long hours, dedication and all that was done above and beyond the call. You helped lay the foundation for this project and facilitated us in ways we can not begin to convey here. Thank you!

To the Voices, Hattie Alvis, Carla Newkirk, Jackie Harris and Gwen Glover: Behind every great project there’s a strong foundation. Thank you for your strength and unwavering dedication that held this project together. May God continue to bless each of you.

A very special thanks goes to “The BAND” members Victor Alvis, Maurice Sparks, Alan Evans, and J.J. Lewis. We can’t thank those enough who stepped in and helped out with background vocals when asked, including Satrina Kelly, Rae Dean Johnson, Brenda Johnson, Barbara Mitchell, Jerry Thornton, and Shunta McGee. Thanks so much to our financial counselor, Valery L. Smith President/CEO Affinity Financial Services. We thank our respective home churches for the love and support shown; Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor George C. McCulloh and St. Mark A.M.E. Church, Pastor Joe Benton. Your prayers and support were unwavering, and for that we truly thank you! We also thank Rev. Dr. Johnny Green and the White Street Missionary Baptist Church for allowing us to be a part of their worship service and to minister to others through song.

Lastly, we thank Mr. Kyle Brooks, the executive producer of this great project, for his vision and perseverance. The sacrifices you made could never go unnoticed and we are eternally grateful to you! You instilled in us the will to never give up and we stand here and now proclaiming the word of the Lord through song! Be Blessed!

Several years ago, Producer/Manager Kyle Brooks envisioned organizing and producing a local, contemporary gospel group consisting of the voices and talents of local singers and musicians.

In May 2004, this long awaited dream was turned into reality with the formation and birth of “N-Parts of Harmony”.

“N-Parts of Harmony” consists of Master Musician/Vocalist Demetriace (Chee-Chee) Jordan and Drummer/Vocalist Jarvis (Ramon) Harris.

At an early age Chee-Chee started playing the piano. This eventually led to playing the guitar, bass and drums. He continued playing ‘by ear’ until his parents saw the God given talent Chee-Chee possessed and decided to enroll him in formal lessons. Today, Chee-Chee is the Minister of Music at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Opelika, AL where he has been playing for over 20 years. Several family members and friends have inspired Chee-Chee to stay strong and keep his focus on doing the will of God.

Ramon was also raised in Opelika, AL and started playing drums in high school. He always had an interest in music and has played and sung in various choirs and gospel groups through the years. Today, Ramon is the Director and President of three choirs at St. Mark A.M.E. Church. He is inspired by his family, wife and children.
