This was the second release from WI artist known as Leper''s Pen from back in 1994. Probably the darkest batch of songs to come from singer/songwriter Bill The Thrill to date. The songs explore the dark underbelly of society and come from an unsettling time in the life of this native WI artist. The songs explore the topics of sex, drugs, physical and emotional abuse. Considered to be the artist''s most experimental album, it features a wide variety of sounds and styles. Be ready to be taken on a journey for sure.
Check out the classic tracks "Saw You In A Dress", "The Pain", and "Leper''s Kiss". This Cd has been long out of print and has only recently been re-issued with all new artwork, interior photos and lyrics.
"Taste You" opens the album and immediately you are struck with the sense of how different the album is gonna be. This song was inspired by the Sharon Stone movie "Sliver" and captures the essences of voyuerism. "He Uses" has the heavy guitar crunch and tells the tale of a bad man stuck in a bad life. "Please" heavily inspired by rocker Melissa Etheridge has that sexy ''lover''s call'' appeal to it. You can feel the steam from just one listen.
"Saw You In A Dress" explores those moments in life when a woman''s beauty distorts a man''s perception of reality. "House Of Love" explores the naughty underworld of sex that is taboo to some and the norm for others. "The Pain" is a song that comes from the very darkest and direct pain that infidelity can cause and is musically influenced by Canadian rockers--The Tragically Hip. "Lustful Combustion" is about how sex can destroy or bind a relationship. The big guitar crunch returns to leave you in the belly of "Empty Tank", a song about a woman''s search for her own self worth. The album closes with the very moody lanscape that is "Leper''s Kiss", a song about re-entering the dating scene after going through the trials and tribulations associated with every divorce.
