Young Tanna was born in Chicago, and now lives in “Cashville” known as the Dirty Dirty South. His first release album "ArtWork" sold 2,000 copies underground. It was produced by Young Fizz of Str8-Raw Productions, and recorded at PushPlay-Productions. He was only 16 years old at the time of the albums’ release.
After that Young Tanna moved on to his next project, his current album “Chef of tha Streets”. “Chef of tha Streets” is a life story about Young Tanna, and the struggle that he’s had in the streets while living in Nashville. This album was recorded with Karmah Inc, by Javon Morris.
Shortly after the album was completed, Young Tanna was shot multiple times (13). Since the shooting, Young Tanna has been in the studio working on his new sound. Young Tanna had come too far to have just let go of his dreams and his talent, so he strives to sound his best in every verse, giving his commitment to his fans. The sound that you hear from him now is more driven with pain and struggle. Since being shot, he has changed his whole outlook on different concepts in his music, and in life.
Now 25 yrs old, he is approaching the game with a new plan that consists of promotion, and self-improvement, with a better understanding of the industry. Young Tanna has a distinctive style about himself; he is ambitious, strong-minded, and versatile. He knows both tha street aspect as well as the business aspect of the music industry. Javon "Karmah" Morris of Karmah Inc/PushPlay Productions was the first to introduce Young Tanna to the game. Since then Young Tanna has started another company in conjunction with his already well known record label Karmah Records, a new promotional company, Y.T. Entertainment.
To date, Young Tanna has recorded and released two L-P’s and is currently working on his third. While doing so he has appeared in nearly every event in Nashville, TN and the surrounding cities. He has over 5,000 units sold and appeared in several DVD’s, and magazines put together by his peers. There isn’t a single rap artist in his area that does not know his name, and most are eager to get a verse out of this up and coming talent. He is an undiscovered star, be on the look out for Young Tanna and his up and coming companies.
