Sharing the stage with Sister Hazel and Cowboy Mouth, Zach Fowler & the Essentials are making waves in the Southeast. With influences from Jack Johnson to O.A.R. to G. Love to Jason Mraz, the band moves easily from melodic acoustic numbers into danceable tunes with the occasional booty-shakin'' rap thrown in to keep it interesting.
Zach Fowler began playing and writing music for audiences in 2001. After playing in several groups without seeming to get anywhere and experiencing some personal misfortune, he took a hiatus from music. A close friend bought Zach a new guitar several months later and gave him the motivation to pursue a new start. He hasn’t looked back and has been playing shows in Georgia and the Carolinas on a regular basis.
After playing solo shows for almost two years, Zach joined forces with guitar prodigy Evan Tyler, pianist/percussionist Brandon Kersbergen, and drummer Patrick Grice to form the four-piece band, Zach Fowler & the Essentials. The full group has been steadily amassing a fan base in the Carolinas and has added Matt Younglove on sax to the mix.
The first full length album, "Caught In Between", is available now. Tracks such as "No Surprise", "Green-Eyed Girl” & "Notice Me" are quickly becoming fan favorites and have received airplay on Triple A format WXRY 99.3 FM and Alternative Rock 93.5 FM in Columbia, SC.
