MP3 Life in Bed - Two Point Perspective

the perfect combination of indie guitar rock and pop

10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Emo, ROCK: Modern Rock

Details:
Life in Bed was formed in the waning days of 2001 after the demise of Pittsburgh''s Manifold Splendor.

Taking the name, Life in Bed off of the magnetic poetry adorning a refrigerator, the four remaining members of manifold splendor decided to give it another go. The band started churning out songs and soon enlisted good friend, Jason Jouver at Pittsburgh''s plus/minus studios to record 7 songs to be used as a demo. "The Christmas EP" was never officially released, but 2 of the tracks eventually found their way onto Life in Bed''s full length debut,
"Two Point Perspective."

After adding new bassist, Christopher James, Life in Bed decided to start work on their debut full length record. With Jason Jouver (Creta Bourzia, Don Caballero) manning the boards once again, the band re-entered plus/minus studios in Jan. 2003 to begin tracking for "Two Point Perspective" set for release in late 2003 on Finn''s Polar Recordings label.

Two Point Perspective encompasses influences ranging from the band''s love of 80''s pop icons The Smiths and The Cure to the more intricate and aggressive sounds of the mid 90''s indie guitar explosion while maintaining a fresh take on what made these sounds great.

Presently, Life in Bed continues to tour regionally and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such great bands as Minus the Bear, Trans Am, The Forms, The Desert Fathers, The Promise Ring, The Red and The Black, Aspera, Pilot to Gunner, The Six Parts Seven, Hey Mercedes, Maritime and Adam Franklin of Swervedriver.

"If Life in Bed''s goal is to combine the intricacies of indie guitar rock with the accessibility of pop,
Two Point Perspective proves the band reaching it" - Pittsburgh City Paper
"Two Point Perspective is an intense combination of swirling guitars, arty rhythmic changes,
strong vocals and pop hooks" - Pittsburgh Pulp
"Life in Bed rises and shines." - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
