An Arcata, CA based singer/songwriter, Lila Nelson has been writing songs since her single digits and performs regularly from a collection of well over one hundred originals. Her music has been likened to that of Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Rickie Lee Jones, and Loudon Wainwright III. A true poetic intuition--her unconventional voice conveys at once the joy and pain of the everyday. Her latest CD, "still got the farm" pulls from songs written over the last ten years. The recording is self-produced with her husband and partner Ian Caliendo, who also plays mandolin, guitar, and mbira.
