Acquiescence is Jimmy Williams'' third solo guitar release. After playing and touring with the metal band Steel Prophet and recently progressive rock icons Rocket Scientists, Jimmy has taken a break from the rock genre and explored the more traditional sounds of acoustic guitar. His two previous guitar releases “Sonic Divergence” and “Guitar Concepts” contained instrumental acoustic guitar works, but this latest release is very unique in that each song is only one track of acoustic guitar, with no overdubs. There are a variety of styles displayed, ranging from traditional acoustic on the opening track “Slipping Away”, to the flamenco inspired “Serenade”, to the ambient sounds of “Rain”, to the country styling of “Tip of the Hat”. Acquiescence is a 12 song acoustic journey that contains a little bit of something for all fans of acoustic guitar.
