With a deep, majestic voice, a commanding stage presence, and a genuine passion for Christ, Linda Martin captures a range of emotions with her performance skills. Being a gifted artist, she is an ordained pastor, motivational speaker, author, television host, and sings in both English and Spanish. She is an "Artist in Resident" at Harvest Fellowship Community Church where she ministers to thousands of congregational members during Saturday and Sunday Worship Services.
This anointed vocalist quickly became one of the favorite featured gospel singers in Texas'' second largest city, San Antonio. Additionally, as a Gospel Music Association Award winning artist and a Babbie Mason Music Conference and Vocal Competition finalist, she has ministered with such artist as Buckner Fanning, Tim Dishongh, Glenn Sharp, Paul Wilbur and The Imperials. She was the feauture performer in the 2003 Splashtown''s Summer Concert Series in the Park series.
Linda was a host of a public affairs television show, "Joy In Our Town", and has appeared several times as a guest on Trinity Broadcast Network''s "Praise The Lord" show. Linda appeared as Mary Magdalene in the feature film, "I''ve got a reason" and has been a repeat special music guest for the past three years at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation''s Annual "Race For The Cure", reaching 65,000 people. Linda sat on the Komen Board where she aided in the organization of various citywide fund-raising events.
Based on an inspiring true story, Linda Martin''s autobiography, Better Than Sacrifice, recounts her humble Georgia upbringing, her love affair with music as a young child, and the tragic brutal rape and molestation by her high school band director. She is currently authoring a series of children''s books that promote positive self-esteem and build character in each young reader.
As a motivational speaker, Linda visits thousands of inmates in women''s correctional facilities in Texas and travels throughout the state speaking at various high schools promoting abstinence through her powerful testimony of sexual abuse survival. The self proclaimed ''Princess of Practicality'' is divinely gifted and has a way of lifting her audiences to new levels of self belief. "You have a divine destiny!
