TERRY O - BIO HOW LITTLE WE KNOW indeed about talented tenor, TERRY O. Born in Queens, N.Y., the third of four children, to a musical Irish Dad and a nurturing Irish Mom, young Terry O''Shaughnessy was surrounded by an energetic, diverse and loyal family.
Performing since the age of four, the purity of TERRY O''s voice was outstanding even among other children in his church choir. In their two-bedroom apartment, the O''Shaughnessys were hosts for extended family Christmas dinners -- with Uncle, Aunt and cousins from upstairs, along with every remotely related relative from out of town descending upon their threshold for family tradition. One of those traditions was the performance of some kind by every family member. Having been born with the gift for song, little Terry did what he did best. "Because of You", a Tony Bennett hit, became the anticipated Christmas gift from TERRY O to his adoring clan.
When it came time to serve his country, again TERRY O was asked to do what he does best. Performing in concerts from Korea to Japan, O''Shaughnessy gained enough momentum to pursue a singing career following his two-year tour of duty.
It was at a gig one evening that TERRY O took a break and found a group of friends who had brought others to cheer him on. As a Cha Cha began, TERRY O turned to the table and said, "Who wants to Cha Cha?"
A musician herself, attractive Italian, Sylvia said, "I do." During this dance, both parties realized it would only be a short while before they would be saying "I Do" together. They married within six months.
Continuing his singing gigs, one night on stage, TERRY O looked out at the audience and realized he already had it all and that with a perfect marriage and pregnant wife, he could happily give up his goal of stardom for a more reliable means of support. He did, becoming an enormous success in all that he has done.
From successful marriage, to successful entrepreneur and doting father of three, TERRY O''s other passions include big time racecar driving and scuba diving.
