Details:
Jerry Manas is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Philadelphia area. After having written dozens of songs in the folk/rock genre, Jerry established a music publishing company in the early 90''s and began writing songs for the R&B market (one of the few markets actually looking for other people''s songs). One of those songs, September Forever, received an Outstanding Song award in the Billboard Song Contest in 1994, and just recently made the Top 10 on two separate charts at https://www.tradebit.com (R&B Mixed Vocals and R&B Production).
However, Jerry''s first love is classic folk/rock, and the resurgence of that genre has inspired him to get back into recording in the style he loves best.
Jerry has recently released his debut CD, Pop Art Folk, an eclectic mix of melodic folk/rock under the New Philly Records label. The first song on the CD, The Sound of Gathering Stones, has already made Broadjam''s Top 10 in the Pop Classic category.
If you like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Brian Wilson, CSNY, Sheryl Crow, Elliott Smith, or Alanis Morrissette, chances are you''ll like Pop Art Folk.
Jerry is a member of the Songwriters Guild of America, the International Songwriters Association, and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He is affiliated with BMI.
