i wrote these songs over a year or so with lots of change and heartache. as i look back, these songs were really the beginning of my trying to write and say something meaningful. these recordings happened mostly in my living room with as little money as possible. rather than produce some big record, i ended up just wanting to journal a part of my life in hopes of maybe someone else relating to the thoughts and emotions i was feeling. one of the ways i process my thoughts and emotions is to sit at the piano and just play whatever comes out, so i added some prayers with no words, just a piano and no overdubs or anything. i sincerely hope these songs will bring some light and hope to anyone who hears them. the title of the record is really what i am still trying to figure out. who i am, who God is, and how it all works together. i freely admit that i don''t have a clue about so many things, but i desperately hold on to the things i know and need to be true.
