Raised on a large property in Victoria, Australia, in an area called Musical Gully (named for the sounds of picks and shovels from the gold rush era), Max came of age in an atmosphere of wide open spaces that imposed no bounds on her imagination.
After graduating from Performing Arts College, Max brought her guitar to Europe, where she sang, wrote and performed her own compositions in clubs throughout.
While performing in Florence, RAI News Journalist/Producer Carlo Picone invited Max to audition for, Forza Venite Gente, a popular musical in Rome, for which she landed a lead role, allowing Max to work alongside some of Italy''s greatest talents. The hit musical played to full houses then toured for two years.
Other Italian Theatre productions readily engaged her, notably Kolbe directed by the renowned Polish Film Director - Krzysztof Zanussi. She received the Star of the Year award at Genoa''s Cole Porter Festival, recorded a dance LP I''m occupied, and her story La Ragazza con la Chitarra was documented for RAI TV.
After a year in Japan studying Taiko drums and fronting a Japanese band in Hiroshima, Max returned to Sydney. Her captivating and humorous acoustic spots at club Kinselas and performance on New Faces attract wide audiences and critical acclaim.
Later that year Max signs with Warner Music and releases her EP, Coma: A warped celebration of revenge, humor, and post-modern genre blending, Coma hit the top ten nationally and was voted the eighth most popular song of the year by Australia''s JJJ Network.
Her follow-up album, A Million-Year Girl, elicited a strong response from the press and professionals alike.

After touring Europe with a string quartet, Max moved to the USA, working on music and film and performing comedy. In 2001 she returned to Australia to stage her show ''Mad''moselle Max'' at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Max''s undisputed musical gift, her flair for performance and depth of comic sensitivity presents an exciting new comedic experience.

A multi-talented performer-artist, Max Sharam brings a wealth of experience to New York. Having made a name for herself as a recording artist with Warner Music, and recently voted 100 in ''Sexiest Women in Music'', Max''s unique blend of Pop and Classical Opera (P''Opera) - quickly became her trademark. She followed up her award winning, platinum selling debut album - ''A Million Year Girl'', which was nominated for 8 Aria Awards in Australia, with hosts spots and guest appearances on shows like Video Hits, Good News Week, Red TV etc. and several sell out tours around the country. She was also featured in Channel 9''s Reality TV Documentary ''Dream Factory'' - shot entirely in Los Angeles and was the subject matter of an Italian (RAI) TV Documentary - ''Girl with the Guitar''. She toured Europe with two different theatre company''s when she was only 19, released her first (dance) record soon after and then later toured Europe as a solo artist with a string quartet for the release of ''A Million Year Girl''.

A budding author, Max''s first self-published illustrated book fast sold last year. Entitled "Snakes Live Under My Bed", the book, a limited edition collection of illustrated prose & ''Allegory for Immature Adults'' created such a demand for prints of her drawings that Max quickly set up an Internet Gallery - selling her work as far and wide as Sydney, Seattle and New York. Max''s written pieces have appeared in numerous Anthology''s and Manhattatan magazines and her self-penned and produced orchestration ''Crashlanding!'' will feature in ''Frozen Angels'' at Sundance 2005, and on PBS Television. Now as a freelance/independent producer for Manhattan Neighborhood Network, sees that the work of others sees the light of day while Max slowly developing her own offbeat television series.
Australian born and a permanent resident of the US, Max is the daughter of a desert dwelling fisherman and her mother, a Champion Arabian Horse Breeder sells Arab horses back to the Saudi''s. Max attended a Performing Arts College before hitting the stage and professionally touring in Rome and throughout Italy. Her stage credits include the musical ''Forza Venite Gente'' (in Italian), ''Kolbe'', ''The Magic Flute'', ''Tilly Divine'', ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', ''Rocking the Town'' as well as her one-woman show, ''MadmoselleMax'' which she wrote and directed.
Max Sharam has been invited to perform at the Hong Kong Fringe Festival in January 2005 with her one woman ''P-Opera'' - a Virtual Variety/Multi Media Musical - which includes the misadventures of ''ill Soprano'', a highly strung Opera Diva who takes to the streets at night singing.
Max hopes to be selected to appear at Aspen Comedy Festival in February, 2005.
