ARE YOU SCOTCH-IRISH, TOO?

Bard Marc Gunn''s Celtic & Folk music career began in 1997 when quit a punk rock band, borrowed an autoharp from his dad and started teaching himself to write music and play Irish and Scottish folk songs. He formed the Brobdingnagian Bards who were voted the #2 most-popular Folk group in the Best of Austin 2003 Music Awards.

SORTA LIKE HARP MUSIC WITHOUT THE HARP

After six albums with the Brobdingnagian Bards, Marc Gunn decided to create a solo album based on his most-popular recordings from 2000-2003 that he named "Soul of a Harper"

Warm and quieting with a touch of bardic fun, it features beautiful vocal balladry and a unique style of autoharping make it a favorite among Scotch-Irish descendents. And it was even chosen by Austin radio''s Celtic Storm as one of the best Celtic albums of 2003.

"I would like to thank you for your wonderful music. I have just signed up to your celtic music mailing list and downloaded the mp3 of Buttercup''s Lament & have played it at least 6 times already. This song is so hauntingly beautiful...thank you for bringing your wonderful music into this world for us to share with you."
-- Shana M., Florida

--Austin Chronicle

"I love the music that you do. When i feel really down, alls i really need to do is play the music and i feel better. Something about it just makes me so happy inside!"
--Allysa, fan

"Hey Marc- How''s everything? I am am writing to you today because I thought you might like to hear this. I was a guest on my friend''s radio show last night and he actually played ''The Barrel Song'' off your CD.

Not only does it make me feel good that somebody else is playing the world music I bring into the radio station, but it must make you glad to know you''re being played at other times then Sundays 12-3 pm.

He commented to me that he liked the song and could actually picture the bricks falling!  I recommended all the other tracks off the album and hopefully, with any luck, your album will become a WWPV staple in a few years."
--Edward, DJ on WWPV in Vermont
