"Merkaba" was born two years ago from the remains of three rock bands, "Inner Sanctum," "Claddagh," and the original "Driven."
In this time, "Merkaba" has managed to build up a loyal army of fans in the Tulsa and surrounding areas. In searching for a niche, the band has learned the importance of meaningful music with a message meant to inspire those willing to listen. Drawing on influences such as Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, and The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as the original rockers, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, "Merkaba" creates a powerful and melodic environment rich with textures and moody overtones. "Merkaba''s" purpose is simple, to create another world and to guide those willing to venture into the unknown.
