In 18 months, Australian band larissa & the wild grey have proven to be a breath of fresh air, with their unique concoction of piano driven pop/ rock impressing audiences and listeners across the country. Larissa McKay (Vocals/Keyboards), Steve de Wilde (Drums/Vocals), Andy Gray (Bass) & Pete Covington first came together playing covers at a local club and at University, and since then a rare connection has emerged, producing an infectiously warm sound off the back of McKay’s songwriting. Larissa & the wild grey recently played alongside guitar extraordinaire Jeff Stanley at a sold out Sydney Opera House show, and soon saw their debut single Ricocheted climb to #1 on the Triple J Unearthed Pop Chart. They have played all over Sydney at renowned venues including The Vanguard, Will & Toby’s Supper Club, The Hopetoun, The Excelsior and The Manly Boatshed. With the release of their debut EP Soldier, a second EP in the making and a growing pool of admirers, larissa & the wild grey are looking forward to a busy schedule ahead.
