Mikie Da Poet has been rapping for seven years. His passion for rap & hip hop comes from playing basketball in the projects of Caprini Green and the Robert Taylor homes. He has always had tons of energy and an explosive personality. Mikie always had the ability to take control of an audience or crowd whether it be hip hop or just casual conversation.
Mikie da Poet has been on several compilation albums. i.e. The Monsters of the Midway which featured Twista, Bone, Psycho Drama, Danny Boy and many more stars.
He''s also done songs with Teefa from 107.5 FM in Chicago. Psycho Drama provided his "psyde" on 80 Down The Skyway and most recently he performed on Fox News National with Platinum selling Do Or Die and Milticket. Past performances include a special performance showcasing the Winter Music Conference in South Beach in March of 2002, he really set it off! He''s done many local cable hip hop shows and also had the privilege to host the Puerto Rican fest on Wicked Television in 2003.
Mikie has accomplished creating one of the strongest support teams around himself from production to promotions to artist development (not to mention he has over 100 songs written and recorded) to just learning the game. It''s time to go to the next level.
