SIBRIAN (pronounced sib re-an) is an energetic, progressive/hard rock band from Covina (L.A.), California. Their ability to combine catchy melody with heavy rock creates a highly unique sound. Population Zero was led by frontman and lead guitarist Kevin Hata. SIBRIAN was formed as members came and left the line-up leaving a solid 3-piece ensemble which currently consists of Kevin Hata, Larry Torres and Willy Sibrian. Kyle Kagawa and Chris Saunders (life-long friends) jumped on board anxiously to help broaden the already searing sound into the arena of 2 guitars and majestic keyboards.
SIBRIAN has made great strides within the last few years. The completion of their first E.P. in 2002 self titled "Population Zero," (marketed towards the youth pop-punk audience) was the beginning of what was to become their trademark style. The artists in this group write songs about their surroundings as well as people who have impacted their lives and the change that they have brought upon them. They portray their characters in a discrete and sometimes dark manner that provides their fans with memorable lyrics that compliment their catchy tunes. A year later, SIBRIAN began concentrating their efforts in the professional arena, immediately expanding their audience base to fans of all ages and all areas i.e. Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside, Compton and even Mexico just to name a few. SIBRIAN still strides forward with captivating music and intense live shows that are in your face, literally, well not literally. Yes, literally.
SIBRIAN has been writing all new material for the past two years that is best described as astonishing, new, and different from anything out there.
