This CD is an outstanding example of contemporary smoothe jazz. "In Plain View" is laced with smoothe melodies, soulful solos, driving rhythms and jazz harmonies that really have you listening to the songs over and over again. All of the songs were produced and written /or arranged by Chris Miller. The songs on this project all fall into three categories (Smoothe Jazz, Latin Jazz and Contemporary Spiritual with Jazz Flavour)
Chris Miller Biography
Christopher Daniel Miller was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee. He is the son of the legendary Gene "Bowlegs" Miller (one of the original "Memphis Horns"). He is a graduate of The United States Naval Academy of Music, California State University at Dominguez Hills (with a B. A. in Civilizations-Commercial Music Production and a M. A. in Education Administration).
Chris lives in Carson California. He teaches music and music production at Jordan High School and Long Beach City College. He also produces music for the Los Angeles based record label (B+ Music).
Chris performs frequently in the greater Los Angeles area at music festivals and concerts with the "Chris Miller Band". He is featured regularly on L. A. area cable T.V. shows.
He usually performs with L. A. allstars (including Land Richards on drums, Del Atkins on bass, Mikale Majeed on keyboards and Morris O''conners on guitar). Ali Woodson (formerly of the Temptations), Billy John Young and Jeannie Holiday frequently make appearances as vocalists with the Chris Miller Band.
