CarolAnn has expressed herself through music and the creative arts for over 20 years, performing for dignitaries, and her regional fans alike. Both her shows, along with her creative CD productions portray the realities of life: love, betrayal, forgiveness, spirituality, and a vulnerability that entices her audience to cry, laugh and heal along with her through the journey of the music. Her voice is clear, flowing, with a vocal range and style that can move from song to song.
CarolAnn began singing professionally at the age of 16, singing everything from gospel, pop, country and jazz. “ My love is jazz, and the improvisation between the artists on stage with me. I have been so blessed to have been able to make music with some of the greatest musicians in this country.” Some of these incredible musicians include Taylor Mesple’, Don Grusin, Eric Gunnison, Nelson Rangel, along with many others.
Her jazz band, “ The Carol Frazier Band “ performed regionally and became a household name, opening for national acts, and finally became a headline band. “ These years strengthened me as an artist and I loved every audience, large to intimate. My joy was in giving, and the band was so talented, you could feel the energy when each show would start. My dream came true by singing; my goal was to spread the hope of dreaming.”
Writing music is her passion, and her new found talent is in the producers chair. Although she gives most of the credit to the arrangers and musicians that make this possible, Carol has a flair to see and hear the music and create it outside of the box. She has released several CD’s, and has been on multiple CD compilations. Her last CD,
“ Life’s a Ride”, still continues to be aired internationally.
CarolAnn’s new CD project, “Simple Baby Boy”, a Christmas album due this year is a new direction for Carol. Always having a passion for the world and tolerance between cultures, Carol explores the sounds of the time of Christ to celebrate his birth. You will be pleasantly surprised and blessed as Carol takes you on a journey of Christmas by combing world music, ancient languages and traditional songs. Produced and arranged by Taylor Mesple’, and co- produced by CarolAnn, this musical performance includes a full length musical, an enhanced CD, along with tools for musicians to share worldwide.
Along with the many musical hats CarolAnn wears, she is the President and Founder of ArtistSphere, LLC, a business that was created to combine the fine arts, performing arts, and culinary arts. “ Our mission statement is to serve individuals around the world by uniting them through the complete sphere of the creative arts.” CarolAnn has held classes and conferences to encourage and uplift artists to express their talents.
CarolAnn does not fit into the box. However, you will see her sitting on the box, gently coaxing her audience to explore what is outside and to experience the spirit of a God that loves all of us to a depth and height that it is too big to be contained.
