Mathew James White is a New Zealand born, London based singer-songwriter. His recent songwriting partnerships include Alex Von Soos (All Saints UK # 1 hit "Black Coffee") writer / producer Joe Cang (UK # 1,"Shine" from Aswad) and producer Martyn Phillips (Bryan Adams, Jesus Jones, Soul to Soul, The Datsuns). He has also been working with producer Steve Lyon in preperation for this album.
White also recently won the Compo10 Worldwide Internet Song Contest and has recently licensed one of his tunes to Essential Music in the USA.
White was previously a member of London Band, Hamilton, who were regulars at London Venues such as the Borderline and the Kashmir Klub. They also took part in ''The Song is the Thing'' festival at London''s Royal Festival Hall.
Prior to his days with Hamilton, White was the Guitarist & co-writer in Sydney funky-pop outfit Vibrus, who received National airplay and distribution in Australia with their self-titled EP release. In between working with Vibrus, White toured with BMG Australia artist Shanley Del & recorded with Roo Art / Eastwest artist Jenny Morris.
White continues to play regularly in Germany and France.

Mathew James White wurde vor 28 Jahren in Hamilton, Neuseeland geboren. Schon früh entdeckte er die Liebe zur Musik und gründete als Teenager bereits seine erste Band. Beeinflusst von seinem Landsmann Neil Finn und der Band Crowded House, schrieb er seine Songs in der guten alten Tradition der Singer-Songwriter, denen er mit seinen unverwechselbaren Hooklines die Krone aufsetzt. Um seine Musik einem größeren Publikum nahe zu bringen, zog er im Alter von 18 Jahren nach Syndey, Australien. Bereits damals finanzierte er sich ausschließlich durch seine Musik und erreichte den Status eines Local-Heroes" in der dortigen Liveszene.
Seit 3 Jahren lebt Mathew James White nun in London und schreibt seine Songs mit Songwritern wie Alex Von Soos (Co-Writer des All Saints UK # 1 Hits Black Coffee"), Joe Cang (Writer des Aswad UK # 1 Hits Shine") und Writer bzw. Producer Martyn Phillips (Bryan Adams, Jesus Jones, London Beat, Soul To Soul).
Als Mathew James White Ende des Jahres 2003 in einem Londoner Club live performte, wurde auch der Produzent Steve Lyon (Depeche Mode, The Cure, Soul Asylum, Reamonn) auf ihn aufmerksam. Er war von White''s charismatischer Stimme und den einzigartigen Arrangements mit emotionsgeladenen Melodien so beeindruckt, dass er Mathew James White sofort nach Beendigung des Gigs ein Angebot machte, aus dem eine partnerschaftliche Zusammenarbeit enstand.

Mathew James White est un chanteur, interprète Nouveau Zealandais et il est basé à Londres. Recemment, il a travaille en association avec Alex von Soos ,(All Saints numero 1 hit "Black Coffee" en Grande Bretagne) ecrivain/ producteur Joe Cang (numero 1 "Shine", Aswad) et producteur Martyn Phillips (Bryan Adams, Jesus Jones, Soul to Soul, The Datsuns). Il a aussi travaille avec le producteur Steve Lyon durant les dernier mois pour la preparation de son premiere album.
Il a egalement gagnéle concours de la chanson internet Worldwide Compo 10 et il a composé et vendu plusieurs de ses melodies à Essential Music aux Etats Unis. White etait un membre de Londres band Hamilton qui sont des habitués de le scène Londonienne comme le Borderline et le Kashmir Klub. Ils ont également pris part au "The Song is the Thing" du Royal Festival de Londres.
Avant de travailler avec Hamilton, White etait le guitariste et co-auteur a Sydney du groupe funky-pop Vibrus, qui etait joué a la radio et distribué en Australie avec la sortie de leur album "Vibrus". Tout en travaillent avec Vibrus, White a fait des tourneés avec l''artiste Australienne de BMG Shanley Del et a enregistré avec Jenny Morris de RooArt/ EastWest.
White joue regulierement en Grande Bretagne sur des scenes tel que The Cobden Club et le Borderline. De nouvelles dates de tourneés en Allemagne seront prévues plus tard dans l''année.
