Singer/Songwriter
Born in 1980 in Evry near Paris in France, Mylene spent a childhood imbued with music, listening from the age of nine to country and blues artists (such as John Lee Hooker, B.B King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson, Charlie Mc Coy) as well as the musicians of her father''s band " Southern Comfort" who played most Saturday nights in her home.
At thirteen, Mylene began learning the drums, singing along to accompany her practice sessions. Her first composition for guitar came a year later with " Hold Fast" in 1994, having borrowed (without his permission) her father''s guitar.

What better reason to take this song as the title track for her album - "Hold Fast" seems an appropriate maxim for the debut of a musical career.

In August 1996 Mylene left Paris to Toulouse in the South-West of France where she gave her first public performance at the "Théâtre des Mazades", singing her own compositions in front of an audience of 500.

Hesitating between a degree course in English and music career, she sent off an unsolicited application to the renowned Country Music Festval in Mirande and landed a job for the year at the Country Club, multi-tasking between running the club, serving in the restaurant and presenting the artists. Her professionnal career had begun.

At nineteen she met up with the talented Harmonica Ange Amadéï, The Lonely Boys, Jay Ryan & The Jive Stompers, Chicken Gerry, and Roger Morand among others who accompanied her on a few songs before playing their sets at the club. As mistressof Ceremonies, she was permitted to perform some songs on stage herself ans soon realised that music, composition and performing, was to be her life. Leaving the Country Club behind, she returned to Toulouse to launch her career.

Overcoming the usual obstacles and playing with several different groups, in May 2002 she got the opportunity to tour in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the Memphis https://www.tradebit.comls, a rockabilly band where she met Boo Didley''s son and sang with him.
On her return to France, she decided to record her first album, "Hold Fast" which she produced herself with the help and support of different artists. The finished album, mixed by the scottish sound engineer, Roger Shepherd (formely at EMI Music)was released in June 2004.

Last infos: Solo Acoustic Tour in England from 14th and 21st September 2004.
