Details:
"Beyond Words" is Michael''s fourth CD release. A beautiful collection of solo acoustic fingersyle nylon and steel string guitar and acoustic/electric guitar with acoustic bass, acoustic piano, flute, congas and synth. Michael weaves an emotional tapestry of melody through his compositions that can easily be felt by anyone. His music is carefully arranged to express the concepts he has in mind. The first track is "Mattonya", written and
performed for his niece Tonya and her husband Matt at
their wedding. "Mattonya" is a favorite amoungst the listeners on KINK 102fm radio in the Portland, Oregon.
"Mattonya" is a solo acoustic steel string guitar piece with a Celtic touch to it. Michael looks forward to performing "Mattonya" at every show. Soon it will be scored so you can learn
it too. "Mattonya" is performed on a 1990 Taylor 712W
acoustic guitar. And now a little about Michael. He became interested in classic guitar at the age of 19. He spent a year learning the basics and the next two years learning classic guitar. Shortly after that, He became interested in the lute. He hitchhiked to North Carolina and made his own 15 course Baroque lute.

During the last part of my college days, Michael was offered to play with a flamenco dance group. He was living in Arizona at that time, and was playing in various lounges and resorts. Michael opened for Herbie Hancock and Tom Scott three times in Phoenix and Tucson Arizona.

He married in 1980 to his lovely wife Jacqueline. They have a son Josh, born in 1981, and a daughter Annie, born in 1983. Josh and his lovely wife Samantha has given them three beautiful grandchildren.

In 1988 Michael''s family moved to Vancouver, Washington, USA. to pursue my music career. At that time, he released his first cassette album titled "Pretend Dreams: Meeting" with producer David Chu. He began teaching at Beacock''s Music and at his in home studio in Vancouver. In 1991, he released "Windows" and "Letters To A Friend". Michael has released his fifth CD titled "Amor". "Amor" is thirteen traditional Latin love songs on the solo acoustic guitar. You can hear samples of all the songs at https://www.tradebit.com. In November, 1996 Michael received a CMAA award for "Songwriter Of The Year" with co-writer Kenyon Mathews.
Currently he teach guitar and bass at his home studio in Vancouver, Wa. and operates the label, "Out of the Blue https://www.tradebit.com" and performs concerts. Simply the joy of music whether performed or listened to is truly spiritual in any and all forms.
