Details:
Monique''s music is a blend of melodic, unique, soulful songs that keep the listener interested from beginning to end and express love and life in such a personal way it often results in a ''I''ve been there before'' feeling.

If Gladys Knight and John Denver had a daughter, her name would be Monique Berry.

Monique''s music may be roughly classified along the style of Sara McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissete, but its roots originate in a small town in Michigan where she grew up listening to the the likes of her pseudo parents, mixed with the soul of B.B. King and Millie Jackson.

Classifying her entire CD into one genre is like putting a cat under running water - it can be done, but it''s not easy.

Weather makes an excellent metaphor to describe Monique''s music as a whole - some days/songs it''s sunny with a cool breeze that seems to lift you off the ground taking you where-ever you wish go. Other days/songs it''s cold, dark, and drizzly, and you simply want to stay inside and hide from the world. From sultry soft vocals the listener is often, without warning, shocked by her sudden transitions. Her lyrics are her heartfelt true life experiences that often leave the listener with intense emotion and even though the lyrics are often misinterpreted, many relate to her music because it is so real.

She has had only one real goal in her life; from the time she could speak she knew that she would sing. It was clear early in life that she possessed a musical gift when she had mastered the flute at the age of nine but no instrument would ever distract her from mastering her voice. At 15 she taught herself to play the piano to facilitate her song writing and accentuate her vocals but her voice will always be the focus of her music.

Acknowledging the fact there was not much work for a singer in her home town outside of the bar circuit, (a scene that never appealed to this woman who has never drank nor smoked) Monique left her home in Michigan and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19. Once in L.A., it was not long before her exceptional singing ability was noticed. She was hired to do voice-overs for companies such as Coca-Cola and Matel (Barbie), allowing her to work with such celebrities as Vanna White, Sly & the Family Stone, Phil Chen, Bette Midler and Steven Seagal.

In addition to her vocals, Monique''s CD includes the exceptional talent of artists such as Warren Hall and Hans Zermuehlen, among others. ''Eclectic, classy and soulful'' is how one studio musician has described Monique''s music and a reporter wrote, ''Berry has her own unique sound - one can hear a deep richness underlying her light beautiful voice.''
