Josh Britton - Bass

Josh Britton has had an extensive career as a performer in the Northwest. He currently is a senior Jazz Studies Major at the University of Oregon under the tutelage of instructors Steve Owen, Toby Koenigsberg, Gary Versace, Dave Captein, and Tyler Abbott. Britton''s proficiency on both electric and acoustic bass has landed him a diverse field of academic ensemble experiences, including the University of Oregon Symphony, the UofO Jazz Ensemble Lab I, the Lane Community College Jazz Ensemble, the principal bassist chair of the LCC Chamber Orchestra, and performances for several graduate compositional recitals and reading sessions. His professional ensemble experience is equally diverse. Josh has performed at venues throughout the Northwest with ensembles such as The Scandals, The Lucky Seven, the Don Latarski Trio, the Tim Mclaughlin Quartet, Eleven Eyes, Coastal Steamer, and the blues/rock group What Yo'' Mamma Warned You About. As an active music educator, Josh instructs bass and coaches rhythm sections for the Lesson Factory in Eugene, Oregon. He is currently performing with the Oregon Jazz Ensemble, the Cubist Quartet, Coastal Steamer, the Oregon Jazz Collective, the Dan Cavanagh Trio, and is the house bassist for Tuesday Night Jazz Jam at Luckey''s Bar in Eugene.

Mark D. Lighthiser - Drums and Percussion

Mark Lighthiser has had a prolific career as a percussionist and composer playing currently with Montage, Midnight Sun Jazz and the award winning Oregon Percussion Ensemble. He is also pursuing his Masters of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Oregon. Mr. Lighthiser began playing and performing music at a young age in Columbus, Ohio. During the early 1990s he toured and recorded with his band Funks Hybrid, playing hundreds of shows in dozens of venues throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. In the late nineties, after moving to Oregon, he played extensively in the Portland Metro area with numerous professional jazz, rock, and folk bands. It was during this time that he began studying world percussion and premiered his composition Uno Mas for percussion ensemble with the Portland Community College Chamber Ensemble. Currently he serves as the principal percussionist for the Oregon Wind Ensemble and the 100th Monkey new music ensemble at the University of Oregon.

Mike Pardew - Guitars

Mike Pardew performs as a guitarist with The Cubist Quartet, Eleven Eyes and Montage. He currently pursues degrees in Music as well as Spanish Literature at the University of Oregon. Mr. Pardew also teaches guitar at Lewis and Clark College in Portland. He began performing as a guitar player in the Willamette valley when he was thirteen. He played with many blues and jazz bands that toured throughout Oregon and the West Coast. In his youth Mr. Pardew shared the stage with many musicians such as: Dan Balmer, John Stowell, Jed Wilson, Jeff Jarvis, Edward Parente, Andre St. James, Derek Simms, Renato Caranto and Pete Christlieb. In Eugene, Mr. Pardew worked with: The Mark Chapin Band, What Yo Momma Warned You About, Steel Jammin'', Don Latarski, The Pardew-Powers Duo and The Tim McLaughlin Quartet. Mr. Pardew lived in Northern Spain in 2000-2001 where he taught guitar and gave concerts as a solo artist throughout places including La Coruña, Oviedo, Pendueles, and Santander. Mr. Pardew also was featured as a guest artist with the regional jazz ensembles. In addition Mr. Pardew, a student of Glen Griffith, Gary Versace and Steve Owen, has had his own pieces as well as arrangements performed by several Eugene area Big Bands.
