Anthony a Dallasite, whose mother was an inspiration and encouraged him with his singing. He can remember singing along with his mother at the tender age of six, not knowing that he was being groomed for a more powerful purpose.
After the death of his mother at the age of twelve, Anthony used singing as a catapult to seriously pursue his God given talent. Anthony knew that although his mother was gone, he was not alone. He used his faith to motivate himself and started singing praises to God.
He helped his brother, Pastor Rickie Rush pursue his dream and open the doors of the Inspiring Body Of Christ church to only 9 members. In 1990, as conductor of the Praise and Worship Service, Anthony helped to boost the success of the new church. Today the church has grown to over fourteen thousand members and is known today as IBOC.
Anthony is an Evangelist of song and his music has blessed so many,both young and old.
He has a different sound that soothes the soul. Anthony recently released his third CD, "Too Blessed", a project of gratefulness, which has touched so many lives. His first CD "God''s Promise", is a very soul stirring traditional gospel project that reminds you to serve the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul. His second CD "ADORE" , a mixture of praise and worship, that ushers you into the presence of God.
The soulful sound of Mr. Rush has been compared to such soulful singers as Barry White, BeBe Winans, James Cleveland, Ray Charles and Isaac Hayes. Anthony sings from his heart and soul, you can hear it in each and every one of his songs. He delivers a message from God, and wants to bless the world with his Gospel Soul sound.
