Details:
In October 2003, Patrick Boothe released Dub Escape under the radar, putting it in only select music stores around the DFW area, including the late Tower Records, where it would occasionally hit the top 5 best selling local cds for the store.

The album was a reflection on the explosion of release vying to escape the artist, from years of writing and making music. Though all of the songs on this album were written between 2001 and 2002.

The flow of the music is experimental, yet melodic. Industrial, yet poppish. Most of the influence would be lo-fi sounds like Sonic Youth or PJ Harvey, with a touch of Nine Inch Nails-like fury and dashes of piano.

Songs like "Glass", "Demons", and "Ludicrous" are electronic and jagged with sharp bite to the lyrics and vocals, while others like "Card", "Glorious Breakup Song", and "The Insecurities" are softer in tone and have a quieter or calmer texture.

Then there are the unclassifiable tunes like "Who You Wish You Were," which could be a melody and Beats that the Neptunes through out of their limo and was picked up and finished by Trent Reznor. Also, the ultra-harsh rollercoaster "Burnt" which starts off slow and burns into a spiraling attack on the listener, as well as the artist.

The songs are all about Fear.

The before, middle, and after of the process of fear or overcoming fear, as well as the inability to wipe fear away.

After 5 years of only being available in select DFW stores, as well as Patrick''s live show, anyone will now have the ability to purchase or download these tunes. Ugly music that has a beautiful origin.
