Details:
Brenda Bond and Connie "Angel" Fletcher have been playing together as Potpourri since 1999. Brenda and Angel are award winning singers, musicians and songwriters both in their own right and as the duo Potpourri.

Little Country Album is the third CD available from Potpourri, however is the first CD recorded at PMS Studios owned by Potpourri. “LCA” contains 16 original songs, a mix of new and traditional country, some bluegrass, and with a couple patriotic and gospel songs thrown in for good measure. What are the stories behind the songs? “Without Her” was the first song ever written by the duo and was written shortly after 9-11; “Best Part of Losing” was the result of the girls coming away empty handed after several attempts at the NACMAI competition in TN; “Queen of Everything” was inspired by a t-shirt the gals saw at a local restaurant; “Mother’s Prayer” was written while Angel’s son was serving with the US Army in Iraq; and “We Play Music at the Mall” is simply a tongue-in-cheek take off of Potpourri’s actually playing once a year at the Auburn Mall in Maine.

A self-taught musician, Brenda began playing guitar and singing at a young age. Brenda was born in Ohio and decided to make Maine her home after being stationed here while in the Navy. She now resides in Auburn, Maine with her partner Kay and their dogs and cats. Brenda plays extraordinary lead guitar, weaving her music in and around the other instruments and vocals. In 2007 Brenda was awarded DECMA''s Lenny Breau award for outstanding guitarist and was named 2008 Female New Country Instrumentalist of the Year at both the DECMA and Northeast Invitational Showdown competitions.

Angel has been playing piano and singing since 1966. She was born in New York but has lived in Maine for most of her life. She now resides in Richmond, Maine, with her husband Mike and their dogs and cats. You''ll find Angel nearly always behind the keyboard. She has impeccable timing and puts quirkiness into the music, whether through an unexpected accompaniment or beat. Angel was named 2008 Female New Country Entertainer of the Year at both the DECMA and Northeast Invitational Showdown competitions.

Vocally, Brenda and Angel are perfectly suited. Their harmonies are exceptional and the blend of their voices is amazing. They switch between solos, lead and harmony with ease.

Original songs written by Brenda and Angel have been awarded numerous awards through the DECMA and NACMAI organizations in the Country, Gospel, Patriotic, and Christmas songwriting categories.

Potpourri''s music style is varied and a set list can include both original and cover tunes and anything from easy listening to 50''s to rock, country, folk and blues. We taylor our sets to the venue, but are most often found performing a variety -- hence the name "Potpourri".

To answer a question we get quite often, we promise the audio clips are what we sound like in person - two instruments, two people, that''s us!

Enjoy!
