Dana Fishel Labb has worn many shoes and been down many roads. Grew up in Wayland, Ma. Barely graduated school. Joined the Army Infantry as a sergeant. Played college rugby. Joined a frat. Relocated to NYC to be a headhunter. Moved to Boston to work for a https://www.tradebit.com. Quit job Jerry McGuire style. Toured with his band, LABB. Earned Masters degree in education. Taught middle school Special Ed. Scored a major publishing and development deal in LA. Drove cross-country. Spent two crazy years in Hollywood. Had a manager, publicist, and big time producer, dated a model, recorded with Jill Sobule, hung out with Cindy Lauper, befriend by Rae Dawn Chong (his only friend out there), and went to Alley and AJ’s Super Sweet 16 MTV party. Got the run around, taught in east LA gangland (his favorite part about being there), had his new album shelved and realized that Hollywood was lame and didn’t need to be there to make the music he wanted. Decided it wasn’t for him…and walked away from it all. Moved back to Boston. Owns rights to his music again, hangs with his family and friends, is a school disciplinarian now. Lays low. Learned a lot about what is important in life. Used remaining advance money to finance his new solo debut based on the events of his LA adventure.
