Mr. Ganjahmon
Born Eric Dwayne Malcomb in Santa Ana, California in 1974, he attended Foothill and Tustin High Schools from 1988-1992 and junior college from 1993-1996 where he studied philosophy, anthropology and Black History. He has been performing and recording in Southern California since 1992. His reggae inspiration came when he met Uroy walking on Tustin Avenue in 1999.
The loss of vision in one eye and the limited vision in the other caused him to be declared legally blind in 2000, yet he continues to do his music. With influences such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller and old school rap, Mr. Ganjahmon is strictly roots, but displays an original style of Hip Hop, Dancehall and Roots Reggae.
His latest album "Love & War" is currently in stores, including Tower Records, and on-line at https://www.tradebit.com.
Artists he has performed with include: SlumVillage, the Wailers, De La Soul, Psycho Realm, Eek-A-Mouse, Ozomatli, Shinehead, Special Ed, Medusa, Common Sense, Visionaries, Abstract Rude, Isouljahs, Big Cat, Beat Junkies, DJ Drez and Aceyalone and Zack Delaroca (Rage Against the Machine).
In Venues such as: House of Blues, Coach House, the Temple Bar, the Queen Mary, G Lounge (San Diego) and various clubs and college campuses in southern California.
