Robbie Allen (stage name) is a professional musician, songwriter, and producer. He is a third-generation guitarist in his family who started learning guitar when he was eleven years old. His dad taught him his first
riffs and chords on an old acoustic guitar that he had laying around. He got his first electric guitar when he was thirteen and started playing instrumental guitar music popularized by The Ventures, whom Robbie still attributes as his biggest influence as a musician. He took three guitar lessons and stopped once he realized that he could learn music faster by ear. By the time he was sixteen years old he started playing in rock bands, incorporating more modern styles into his playing. Present-day, Robbie keeps busy writing and releasing his solo music in addition to working with the Sundogs.
