HUFF THIS! is on a mission to defy space and time. The story
began when Bear Cub awoke from her blackberry slumber and met Thrash, a dancer, who spiraled in from a hazy sky. Together they joined
forces to create gender and genre bending music. HUFF THIS! builds
collages of folk, punk, pop, blues and country that are described as
"dream thrash," "pan-sexual acid pop," and "electro-femme folk." They
mesh their music with visual imagery and dance to pull you farther
into waking dreams.
Based out of New York City, Molly Allis (Bear Cub) and Alison Clancy
(Thrash) are graduates of New York University''s Tisch School of the
Arts. In addition to their music, Alison is a contemporary ballet dancer who tours internationally, and Molly works for social justice through a variety of art forms. In Winter of 2007, they finished recording their first album at Graham Nash''s Studio in Los Angeles, which they followed with a West Coast tour. They are currently at work on a second album in Nevada City, California.
