YxCxHxCとはYOKOSUKA CITY HARD COREの略称で、語尾についているZは、『KAMIKAZE』でも有名なZERO戦の頭文字からとったもので、地元である横須賀から世界に飛び出ると言う意味が込められている。
メンバーは2MC/Gr/Bs/Dr/SCRATCH DJ兼MCの6人編成のBANDである。
YxCxHxCのホームタウンである横須賀には、USA BASECAMPがあり、地元でのLIVEでは人種や国籍を問わず、ある意味カオス的でCRAZY
な人々で埋め尽くされる。
ROCK/HIPHOP/REGGAE/PUNK/DUBWISE/METAL, etcをMIXしたサウンドは雑食的で、STREET CULTUREの表現者達(SKATER/SURFER/PUNKS/DREADS/B-BOY etc)からも多大なRESPECTS
を受けている。
YxCxHxCの1stALBUMとなる『MI VIDA LOCA』はタイトルにもあるように彼らのCRAZYなLIFE STYLEやSTREETのBLUES、SMOKE TUNEや死んでいった仲間へのR.I.P SONGをJAPANESE,ENGLISH,SPANISHの3ヶ国語で歌われている。
FEAT ARTISTには、INSELENCE(USA)の2MC『MECHA1』と『MARK』が参加してくれている。
また、同じくFEAT参加してくれているJAPANESE ARTISTも日本のSTREETシーンでもかなりHOTなARTISTばかりである。
Yokosuka city hard core or YxCxHxC Z is a versatile band who''s genres of music include Rock,hip hop reggae punk dubwise metal and a number of other music mixes...the band YxCxHxC has a very open fan base of listeners that range from skaters, surfers, punks.b-boys, ect.
YxCxHxC Z hometown is in the name...Yokosuka Japan. With Yokosuka being there hometown it fortunately keeps them with a wide range of listeners that go beyond the Japanese listeners.
Reason being, Yokosuka Japan is the home of the US Naval Base where more than 6000 Americans call this city home. It is also a melting pot of cultures and nationalities.
Mi Vida Loca or my crazy life is the name of the bands first album. Mi Vida loca speaks about there crazy lifestyles the blues of the streets and songs that speak on the unfortunate untimely deaths of some of YxCxHxC''s friends and/or music mates.
The lyrical talent and ability of YxCxHxC goes far beyond only speaking Japanese,a number of songs are either recorded in English or Spanish.
Mecha 1 and Mark（INSOLENCE) are two featuring MC''s that hail from the USA,and a number of hot Japanese artists that are known on the streets of the Yokosuka area...
