I once heard a woman proclaim at one of Medderick’s performances.
“He’s the only singer that has ever brought tears to my eyes.”
I thought about how true that statement was. As long as I have known
Medderick, that has always been the case, for me at least. Meddericks
lyrics and voice come from the heart and from the recesses of his
tortured soul. It has never been about fame or fortune, but rather, I
believe, as an excorcism.
Medderick has a love for people and a social conscience that his
brought out by his lyrics much like Bono and others, minus all the
posturing and gesturing. Medderick writes and plays for himself and
for the occasional group that is fortunate to hear and see him.
Perhaps now after 50 plus years, it’s time for the world to be able
to participate in his genius,
