Nicholas Newman Bio
Vocalist, pianist, composer and producer, Nicholas Newman has been a professional musician since the age of 3, when he began to sing with his mother in nightclubs.
Born in Greece, Nick spent his childhood in Florida and North Carolina before moving to New York to attend the Juilliard School of Music during his teenage years. He has sung lead on tour with The Wailers and has performed for over 50,000 people in international venues from Reggae on the River to Caledonia, French Polynesia. Nick has produced many artists and is also a studio musician. Nick performs studio work, as well.
Now 30, Nick has completed his first solo album, The Nicholas Newman Project.
He currently tours with Inna Heights and is featured on all tracks on that band''s cd.
Nick is the Chief Executive Officer of Triptonick, Inc., a musical corporation. It is through this corporation that Nick manages his musical business as well as his graphic arts endeavors.

Start this journey with one of the most haunting and soulful songs on the album, Merciful Father. This song will stay with you, forever, once you''ve heard it. Jason and the Funkernauts make the guitar wail in this one. Picture in a Frame is a powerful love song, beautifully sung by Nick.
The first reggae song on the album, Hypnotized, is a crossover R&B dance tune. Listen to Nick''s mesmerizing vocals on this track. Darker than Blue is a deep reggae song that speaks of a history not long past. You''ll find yourself singing along with the chorus. Del-Rickie Carter strums a powerful guitar in this tune.
A latin tune, See You Tonight, will have you doing the salsa, even if you''ve never done the salsa before. This is a great party tune featuring a wicked trombone solo by Balboa and a saucy rap by Wisdom. A song that most anyone can relate to, It''s Time is a swinging R&B tune with a message of hope for troubled times. Ryan Daisley is solo keyboardist on this track and his styling is amazing.
Children of Zion is a captivating reggae song. Nick''s vocals are compelling as he gives direction in the spirit of Rastafari. Both Ras David and Del-Rickie Carter play guitar and The Bass Master, Toho Saunders, lays out a scorcher on this track. Nestled in amongst the great reggae and R&B tunes, Oh Woman is a country western flavored soul hit. Del-Rickie''s guitar is dominant here.
A nod to his days of touring as the lead singer for the Wailers, Nick pays homage to the experience with his blazing upbeat remix of Exodus. You can feel the heat from the dance floor even as you listen to this by yourself. The reggae influence is strong in this song, Lion''s Den. Lyrics purely biblical, this is Nick''s call to Rastafari as well as an uplifting message to everyone. Del-Rickie''s guitar is poignant in this tune.
A conscious R&B song, Make it Right, calls for an end to war. Nick''s vocals here are soulful and mesmerizing. Ben Krames handles the keys here magnificently, while David Simon Baker plays a mean guitar. Pack your bags and call your travel agent because Montego Bay is a reggae dance tune so lively, you''ll want to board a jet right after hearing it. This song was made with Inna Heights and features Hurricane Gilbert throughout.
Bo''s House is a catchy R&B tune with a neo-Soul flavor. This is a head bobbing song that''s just plain sweet. Danilo Logan is on additional keys, guitar and vocoder in this track. The cd is finalized with a dub version of Children of Zion.
Although Nick plays keys on most tracks on this cd, Ryan Daisley was brilliant playing additional keys on many of the tracks.
