New nocomment CD "best of 1992-2004" is the worldwide first best of CD with additional free downloads
The first "best of" from nocomment was released on April 22nd 2002 and so the title of the CD "best of 1992-2004" is quite remarkable. The title is not a printing mistake but the result of the worldwide first best of CD that allows free downloads of additional tracks for the buyer. With a password that every buyer receives it''s possible to download 1 track per quarter for free from April 2002 on until the end of 2004 on https://www.tradebit.com.
And the DCD itself has a running time of more than 2 hours and contains apart from the club and radio-hits of the band also rare and exclusive tracks that are partly no more available, and is sold for the normal album-price-code. „We had the idea to add free downloads, because we wanted the best of not only to show the past of the band, but also the future.," says nocomment vocalist Franziska Kalb. „Furthermore we don''t believe that an annoying copy-protection is the right way to stop the crises of the music-industry" says Nanopop-head Thomas Kowalzik: „so Nanopop takes a much more consumer-friendly path than the major-companies, and offers more value for the same amount of money."
After more than 10 years of nocomment and more than 10 CD releases it was time for a compilation of the best nocomment songs. José Alvarez, who is well known for the golden releases of Wolfsheim and Witt/Heppner, produced some tracks. He produced the new single „It''s not too late" as well as the tracks „little boy" and „I won''t cry" that entered international radio-and clubcharts in 2001. The former Camouflage producer Axel Henninger produced the track „Eyes of Aragon". With that track nocomment won the only German newcomer-TV show back in 1994.
After the big success of the new single "It''s not too late" for the benefit of children from Chernobyl and the huge and successful European Tour with Apoptygma Berzerk the new nocomment best of is the next big step for the band. Close to the release date the band is going to take part in some TV-and radio-shows. The next release from nocomment will be the surround-pop movie "Polyradah", that''s released on DVD in Surround 5.1 in 2004.
