MP3 Opposite Day - Fictional Biology

Educational Art Rock fr Animals

10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, POP: New Wave

Details:
Opposite Day plays educational art-rock for animals. Basically its pop music that pushes the boundaries of what pop songs should be about and what a rock band should sound like. Who needs more songs about love, death, pain, violence, drugs, angst and sex when you can write about history, geography, science, outdoor cats, monkeys, and 5-year-old superspies? Blending elements of post-rock, jazz, funk, punk, pop, metal, math-rock, and children''s music - all within a singular style, our music has few precedents. Nevertheless, it has been compared to They Might be Giants, Fishbone, Frank Zappa, the Dismemberment Plan, Primus, The Minutemen, Frank Black and the Catholics, and several others.

Fictional Biology
Opposite Day''s second CD features a sound congealed by performing together for 4 years and playing over 100 shows statewide. A near-relentless battery of artpop aggression, the new album features live favorites "Middle of the Street" and "Southeast Asia," alongside the American history punk of "Monroe Docrine" and the money-loving ballad "Where did it all go?" Recorded at Keith Harter Studios in San Antonio, the Firestation in San Marcos, Rekliner Records in Austin, and at home, we are excited about the high quality of this next installment in the Opposite Day catalogue of self-released recordings.
