Paul Hacker is a native of Oklahoma. He is Choctaw/Cherokee active in the Choctaw tribe. He is a believer in keeping alive Native American artistic traditions, skills, and cultural heritage. Paul meticulously handcrafts traditional Plains Indian flutes, custom knives, and replicas pre historic and historic Native American Pottery.

A winner of over 150 prestigious awards and honors, Paul Hacker is a 1992-1993 award winner with the Smithsonian Institution ▪ National Museum of the American Indian. His music and flutes have been purchased by the Smithsonian and collectors around the world. He has recorded 4 full length soundtracks along with an incredible double CD. Paul has delighted audiences around the world with his meditative and meaningful flute music.

Paul''s collection of flutes includes 4 hole, 5 hole, and 6 hole flutes. The Paul Hacker 6 hole Plains Indian flute is hand-crafted from redwood or cedar. They are plain, quilled or beaded. Paul has played 6 hole Plains Indian flutes dating back to the 1880''s and his flutes are almost identical in sound. All flutes come with an instruction sheet.

Paul''s collector knives are hand-crafted. Each knife handle is hand-carved deer antler, buffalo, or elk horn. The handles are hand carved and Inlaid with precious stones such as turquoise, coral, and diamonds. The blades are 440 C stainless steel or highly polished carbon steel.

The Native American jars, also called ollas, for which Paul Hacker derives his inspiration, grew from pottery made between 200 BC to 250 AD in one of four states in western Mexico: Colimas, Jalisco, Niyarite, and Michircan. The pottery, bowls, jars, etc...are beautifully made. Paul Hacker''s renditions of these ollas allow for an affordable and high quality alternative to these ancient pots.
