Details:
Where does it all start? I suppose we could take it back to the late 1990''s when John, Chris, Adam, Kevin, and Jacek would jam out in a garage in Elk Grove, IL once a week, dreaming of rock stardom. Well, let''s just say it was fun but perhaps less than serious as alcohol often took its toll on musical productivity. They were a band and had played a few shows but it all came to an end once Adam, the drummer left the band. With him went the garage and so back to the drawing board they went...in Chris'' dining room...with two guitars and a pair of headphones. So began the writing process for what is now known as LifeLike Violence, with Kevin making a transition to drums from his previous guitar/keyboard role. The new "jam spot" wouldn''t cut it for very long and the band members decided to move to Shark studios in early 2003 where they could experience the freedom of blasting amps and pounding drums. A few months and shows later, LLV felt the creative need to acquire a second guitar player. Enter Dave. Dave came in with a lot of experience playing locally and impressed immediately at his audition. He got the gig. A lot of song writing followed and soon the band was out once again playing all over Chicagoland. In May 2005, Chris decided to part ways with LLV. He remains a good friend and supporter. His replacement happened almost immediately. The band was fortunate to acquire Jeff as the new bass player later that month. Jeff is a very versatile musician with years of experience and his impact on the band was felt immediately. With very little time to settle in, Jeff took part in recording of the band''s new demo in late June with great input and results. What does LifeLike Violence sound like? You will have a tough time placing them as sounding like any particular band. But let''s just say, they leave that up to the audience to decide. Members of LLV bring a wide range of influences to the band. Anything from Jazz, hip hop and rap to classic rock, hardcore, death metal, thrash, etc. The collective effort in song writing produces a unique sound combining melodies, powerful riffs and wide vocal ranges. The band is still relatively new to the scene. They overcame a couple of serious setbacks related to injuries and lineup changes. The wounds have healed, the pieces are in place and it''s time to make some noise . A big THANK YOU to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive feedback LLV has received thus far. We promise to keep it interesting. Thanks for checking us out! ************************************************************* The latest updates from the LLV camp: Chris Levey has returned to play the Bass guitar for us, thank you to Jeff for filling in for some time in his absence. With the departure of Jacek the serch went on for a new singer...and now we have one. Weclome Christopher Myers.....EVERYONE!!!! Get ready for something new and improved!!!!! Dave is endorsed by REVOLT AMPS!!!!!
