LonGubbs, a new Swedish/Norwegian constellation.
Two swedish musicians, me and Anders Strömberg, both found our different ways to Arne Longum, a singer/songwriter from Norway. We found his heart-felt songs enormuosly inspiring, so we combined our rescources and arranged his songs in a lot of different styles
The result came out on this CD.
It is some contry, some blues, a somewhat happy jazz-bossa, and some other styles to. And of course, it is all based on swedish "visa", something like "folk" but not really.
Arne is sometimes compared to Gösta LInderholm, another swedish singer/songwriter. Of course we are inspired from a lot of different sources, to many to mention,
but we all have a great respect for swedish songwriters like Evert Taube, and Cornelis Wreeswijk. (He is acually from Holland but lived in Sweden and wrote in swedish)
Anders Strömberg has earlier, among others, worked with the swedish Jazz-musician Malte Sjöstrand, and I am a singer in the swedich soul- and gospel-choir One Voice.

Det här är den första LonGubbs-CD:n
Anders Strömberg och jag har på olika sätt funnit vägen till Arne Longum, en norsk trubadur. Vi upplevde hans kärleksfulla sånger som en stor inspirationskälla så vi slog ihop våra påsar och arrangerade hans sånger i flera olika spännande stilar. Det är en del country, lite blues, en ovanligt glad jazz-bossa, en del obeskrivligt (i positiv mening förståss) och som ni förstår, svensk visa !
Vi är inspirerade från många olika håll, men vi har alla stor respekt för trubadurer som Evert Taube och Cornelis Wreeswijk.
Anders Strömberg har bland andra spelat med jazz-musikern Malte Sjöstrand, och jag sjunger i soul- och gospel-kören One Voice
Mycket nöje med vår musik !
